Today’s Lede Stories
Deborah Vance, played by Jean Smart, and Ava Daniels, played by Hannah Einbinder, run into each other in an elevator in a certain Canadian city as Season 3 of Max’s HACKS premieres today, with two new episodes dropping on Crave. To avoid spoilers, the city won’t be revealed here, but be forewarned: Deborah takes a pretty vicious verbal shot at it! Both Smart and Einbinder break down what’s in store for their characters in the new season in a story by TV critic Bill Harris for The Lede, which is also where new images are available for download.
From the spooky and intriguing darkness of HBO’s TRUE DETECTIVE: NIGHT COUNTRY (available on Crave) comes this bit of sunny news: both lead actors in the series, Jodie Foster and Kali Reis, made People magazine’s just-released “Beauties of the Year 2024” list, which honours “stars who staged incredible comebacks, set records, excelled in their fields, and were just downright radiant, inside and out.” Other notables on the list include Sydney Sweeney, star of the recent hit movie Anyone But You as well as HBO’s EUPHORIA (both on Crave), and Julianne Moore from MARY & GEORGE (on STARZ).
