Today’s Lede Stories
YELLOWJACKETS, RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE, and singer/actress Reneé Rapp – who is best known to TV viewers for her role in Max’s THE SEX LIVES OF COLLEGE GIRLS – were among the big winners at the 35th annual GLAAD Media Awards, which were handed out at a gala ceremony in Beverly Hills late last week. YELLOWJACKETS was named Outstanding Drama Series, RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE won Outstanding Reality Competition Program, and Rapp was honoured as the Outstanding Music Artist. YELLOWJACKETS, RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE – Season 16 of which is currently airing, with actor/comedian Joel Kim Booster guest-judging in the most recent episode – and THE SEX LIVES OF COLLEGE GIRLS are all available for streaming on Crave.
The upcoming STARZ series MARY & GEORGE, which stars Julianne Moore and Nicholas Galitzine in the title roles, is described in a recent Vanity Fair article as “a 16th-century answer to SUCCESSION.” Debuting April 5, MARY & GEORGE follows Mary Villiers’ behind-the-scenes machinations to groom her son George for power and influence, and first-look photos are available for download on The Lede. Of course, all episodes of HBO’s SUCCESSION – in which a father’s harsh efforts to groom his children for power and influence have decidedly mixed results – are on Crave.
